To sensitize the role of museum in preserving and promoting cultural heritage<br \/>\n2. To pilot few primary schools located in the remote community<br \/>\nPlaces of visit and the program<br \/>\nThe museum management decided to visit primary schools in Trongsa Dzongkhag that were<br \/>\nunable to bring their students to the museum due to a lack of transportation and other reasons.<br \/>\nThe main goal of this program was to inform students about the museum and why it is important<br \/>\nto visit museum galleries. We tried to explain definition of museum by various scholars. For<br \/>\ninstance we shared ICOM, 2007 as Museum as a non-profit, permanent institution in the service<br \/>\nof society and its development, open to the public, which acquires, conserves, researches,<br \/>\ncommunicates and exhibits the tangible and intangible heritage of humanity and its environment<br \/>\nfor the purposes of education, study and enjoyment.<br \/>\nThe program included watching 15 minutes of museum documentary and a brief power point<br \/>\npresentation about museum galleries.
